Capturing the Wild Beauty of Life
What makes my heart the happiest...is telling your story through dreamy, authentic images with a western/moody flare. My goal is to show the true emotion and personalities of the people in front of my lens! I am so passionate about what I get to do and the incredible people I get to document! I love the connections I get to make and the adventures I get to go on.
I am from a small town in Wisconsin. Born and raised on my family farm where we grow crops and beef cattle. I grew up helping dad on the farm and along side of that I had the love of horses. Horses have been a huge role in my life. I have two horses. Reba & Scooter who I love and enjoy very mucvh!
I started doing photography in high school taking shots of nature, school sports, taking pictures for friends, senior pictures, and just did a little bit of everything. I first started with a little pocket canon camera. I found the love of photography after I had taken a picture of my horse, Smokie. Not just any old picture of him, but a picture when it was the season of winter, it had just snowed, and the horses were covered in snow. I drew a heart on his hip and as he was looking off in the distance, I snapped the picture. That picture I knew that I wanted to get into photography.(picture is below). I kept taking pictures of nature and the horses since then.
I then saved my money to buy a nicer upgraded camera. I went with another Canon. I then did photography all throughout high school and after graduation. I took a lot of pictures for the school sports. I was very well known and people also enjoyed seeing their pictures. That's what I enjoyed the most, having people from school always asked if i was coming to the game to take pictures or asking if I had got any "good pictures". I sure did take a lot of sport pictures now that I look back on it, but I sure did enjoy it!
I then started getting really into the equine photography because I found it a lot easier to photograph. Why? Because, I myself, loved modeling for pictures so when I took pictures for others, I knew how to model them cause I had ideas stuck in my head. I also enjoy seeing the people who also share the same love I have for these horses too. About 2 years ago, I wasn't getting enough time to take pictures and then do all that editing, so, I sold my camera and all my lenses along with it. Well, summer of 2024, I had the brightest idea of starting my photography business back up again, but I wanted it to be bigger and better.
2025 was the year I wanted to get into wedding photography. I've done about 6 weddings thus far and I regret not doing it sooner. I enjoy it so much! I hope to fully be doing weddings throughout the years.
So that's is my plan as a photographer. I want to grow as the days go on. Have a crazy idea? Throw it at me! I am always up for a challenge especially when it comes to horses! I have a lot of experience with taking portraits of seniors as well! I enjoy that as well because I love seeing the different hobbies the seniors do. Every shoot I take is going to be different and that is totally okay! Not everything has to be the same and that is what I like! I wouldn't keep bettering myself if I took the same pictures every time I shoot. So I am always up for the challenges!

"I cannot recommend Kerbie enough for any photography needs you may have! She took pictures o my 3 horses and I and knocked it out of the park. As if that's not enough she then tackled my wedding photos with 3 horses, 2 dogs, AND my feral wedding party! She did absolutely amazing and I love every single photo she has taken for me on separate occasions! She is always super easy to work with, professional, and kind! Highly recommended!"

"I'm truly speechless by how amazing these photos turned out! Kerbie was able to capture all our special moments throughout our wedding day! Even with our 2 toddlers making it just a little more challenging, Kerbie was still able to snap some great pictures that we can look back on forever! I'm so happy with how smooth she made everything as well. We can't thank you enough!" - Darian R

My husband and I could not recommend anyone better than Kerbie for your photography needs! She did a phenomenal job for our engagement and wedding photos. She has an eye for the perfect background and poses. She also knows how to make your animals look at the camera! Not an easy task with 2 horses and 3 dogs but she got it done! All of that aside Kerbie is also incredibly patient and kind and makes you feel very comfortable. She fit right in at our wedding and it felt like another friend was there. We will be using her to capture our future family milestones so go ahead and book with her. You will not be disappointed!! -Hannah P
